Ayat Reflection: complete way of life
O ye who believe! fulfill (all) obligations. Lawful unto you (for food) are all four-footed animals, with the exceptions named: But animals of the chase are forbidden while ye are in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb: for Allah doth command according to His will and plan. TMQ 5:1
According to Imam Al Raghib Al Isfahani, the Uqud ( covenants ) referred to in this verse ‘are of three kinds: the covenants between Allah and man, [i.e., man’s obligations towards God], between man and his own soul, and between the individual and his fellow men’
Thus, Islam is a complete way of life , covering all aspects of life including the social and political.
